Jacob lost a tooth!

Jacob lost another tooth last night! This one is very noticeable though...it's right in the front on top. He was wiggling it all evening trying to get it out. Finally I just pulled it for him. He has 2 or 3 others that are pretty loose too. He was very excited this morning because the Tooth Fairy brought him a cool Transformers book.

Camping & Trunk-or-Treat

On Friday we set up the tent in the backyard. All day Zach kept asking me when we were going to "blow up the fort." The kids played in it a bunch in the afternoon and then the boys slept in it with Dallin at night. They thought it was so great. Jacob had a couple of screaming and crying dreams though...I was afraid the neighbors would think we put him out there alone to sleep! Dallin ended up bringing them in about 2:00am though because it was really cold. Last Monday the temperature dropped 30 degrees in one day. But it's been really nice outside overall.

On Saturday we went to the Ward Fall Festival and Trunk-or Treat. We had such a fun time! This year Jacob is a Mystic Force Power Ranger, Zach is Mr. Fantastic, Savannah is a ballerina, and Connor is a fighter pilot (although people thought he was GI Joe and lots of other things). First was a chile cook-off for dinner (Stephanie, I got 3rd place with your recipe). Then we did games...Dallin got Connor a Frankenstein tatoo on his cheek. After that was the Trunk-or-Treat in the parking lot. Then we went back in for a dance. I think that was the kids' favorite part. They had songs like "The Monster Mash" and "Ghostbusters."

Oh yah...and I got my hair cut last week. It doesn't look too good in the dancing picture, but that's the length. It's layered up to my chin. :-)

Library Halloween Party

Today we went to the library Halloween Party. Zach is Mr. Fantastic this year and Savannah is a "pink ballerina." There was no candy but they got to bring home a whole bag of Halloween stuff...pencils, stickers, toy bugs, etc. They thought it was neat to go to Sam's Club after...still in their costumes.

Pumpkin Time!

Well, we've had so much fun looking at everyone's blogs that I finally decided to start our own. My entries will not normally be this long...I promise. But I had a bunch of pictures to share. To start off with Savannah is the little hairstylist lately. Daddy was her latest "victim."

Zach's preschool went on a field trip to a little pumpkin patch nearby. He was so excited to get to ride on a school bus and pick out a pumpkin. We met him there and had a fun time.
When I decorated Connor's room (with stuff I already had) Zach wanted to know when I was going to do the boys' room. I told him not for a while...he said "That's okay, I'll do it!" And boy was he serious. He got right to work coloring (very colorful) Superman posters. Their room is now covered in them.

Connor is crawling on all fours now, and loving being able to get into everything. His favorite places are the bathroom and the boys' room. But it is nice that he can get to the playroom by himself. He's a cute little fuzzhead. Savannah still wants to "hold" him all the time, even though he weighs almost as much as she does (or at least it seems like it).

The kids are loving having it cooler now and playing in the backyard. Jacob likes to dress up whenever he can. His latest costume invention is a "ninja".

For Family Home Evening yesterday we did our now traditional "pumpkin painting." They had a great time and are so excited for Halloween!
