Munchkin Man

"We'd like to welcome you to Munchkin Land!"Dallin locked himself in the bathroom with Landon the other night and came out with the newest Munchkin from the Wizard of Oz. It actually looked pretty accurate to the movie, you just can't see it that well in the picture.

Landon loves anything metal these days. He loves to chew on spoons and is always trying to rip off my watch and bracelets.
These brotherly moments don't happen too often. Usually Connor just ignores Landon pretty much. It will be nice when Landon is old enough to play in a few months.

Indoor Campout

Last Friday Dallin was supposed to take the three older boys camping. But there was a high chance of rain and thunderstorms, which is what happened when they went last year. So they camped at home...sort of. I took Savannah out for a girl's night to dinner, shopping, and Chuck E. Cheese. Dallin got the boys McDonald's and they watched a Redbox movie. He set up the play tents and gave them all light sticks. They were still sad to not be camping, but happy that Dallin had fun with them anyway.
By 9:00 these two were CRANKY so they had to go to bed before the movie was over. Notice Savannah's face when I said "smile!"

First Swim 2011

I finally took the kids swimming on May 13. It just happened that the hot weather suddenly turned cool that week. But I had promised them that we would go. Jacob's friend C was having a birthday party on Sunday and Jacob would not be attending (Sunday for us is the Sabbath Day, church and family). So I took my five kids plus C to the pool after school. Luckily for me the weather was really nice, and Landon and I sat on the side in the nice shade.

The kids had a great time for about a half an hour.Jacob catching a water football

Then all but Jacob & C huddled under their towels because they were freezing!
On Saturday evening the fun stuff arrived for C's party the next day. He invited Jacob & Zach to come have some fun. Jacob was so happy that he still got to enjoy the blow-up stuff even though he missed the party.

Interpretive Dance

Poor Connor. He has way too many girly influences in his life. His friend (that's a girl) came over to play this morning and they were playing "dance class." It was hilarious watching her try to teach him ballet moves. The pictures just didn't do it justice, so I took a video instead. My favorite is the bow at the end before he goes "offstage." Enjoy!

10 months old!

This sweet little Landon is 10 months old today! He finally started really crawling this last week and getting into lots of trouble. He is stuck under my bed actually as I'm typing this. He has 7 teeth and at least 3 more on the way. This week he also finally learned to feed himself something off of his tray. He has refused to eat anything up to this point that he had to chew. Landon has a great set of lungs and can happy scream for long stretches of time when he wants to. Luckily for us he's pretty mellow and quiet most of the time. He takes two, sometimes three naps a day still. He won't eat baby cereal plain, but will eat pretty much any baby food as long as a little cereal is mixed in. We love his red hair, and he's starting to get a couple of little curls in the back. Landon loves to stand by himself. He can do it for really long stretches of time. The problem is that when he falls he won't unlock his knees, so he either falls flat on his back or on his face. He had a rug burn on his forehead last week.
We love our Landon!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day started on Friday when Savannah came home from school. I told her to wait until Sunday to give me her stuff and she burst out crying. She was too excited and just couldn't wait that long. So I let her give me all her nice gifts. She made me a cup and some paper flowers, some nice cards and coupons for hugs and kisses. On Saturday Dallin took Connor to help pick out real flowers for me. They're beautiful Connor. I got lots of nice cards from all the kids from school and primary. Savannah's primary teacher helped her make me a "Hand Garden." Dallin gave me a Wii Fit Plus for Mother's Day. I spent the whole afternoon trying out lots of games with the kids. I love it! I especially love that I can exercise indoors during the 6 humid months of the year. Thanks Dallin!According to Savannah I'm 14 years old. I age really well.
We talked to Grandma LeSueur on the webcam and Jacob did a presentation for her. He's been working hard on a biography presentation that he had to take to school today. He made a box filled with objects to go along with his presentation. He did it on Sam Houston. It was so neat that he was able to practice for Grandma, even though she's 1,000 miles away. I love technology for stuff like that.
Here is his Sam Houston box and a headdress he made for his presentation. Good luck Jacob!

Water Weather

Lucy hid in her dog house and Landon had a great time watching them through the window.
