Family Fun Park

As a reward for good behavior during pictures on Wednesday, Grandpa took everyone to get Happy Meals at McDonald's.  Then we headed over to the Family Fun Park in Show Low.  Dallin & Sarah stayed back at the cabins so that Landon & Madelyn could take naps.  We rode the go-carts a few times and played the arcade games.

Jacob and Zach only went on the go-carts once, but Connor LOVED it and went three times.

I have always wanted to do one of these trampoline jumping things, and my brother Justin and I finally had the chance.  I loved going straight up and down, but I actually started to get queasy after a while and asked to stop.  Too bad I'm getting old.

I managed to do one full flip, but I just don't have the upper body strength.  It's much harder than it looks!
Thanks for a fun afternoon Grandpa!

LeSueur Family Pictures

On Wednesday morning we took family pictures.  I took all of them except for those that I was in.  My Uncle Bill Sparks came and took the rest with my Aunt Diane.  I'm still trying to improve my editing skills and am working on some of these, but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.

LeSueur Reunion - Cabin Fun

Grandma and Grandpa brought all kinds of fun activities and games for the kids to do at the cabin.  Some of the kids tried the pogo stick, but Uncle Justin was by far the best at it.

The four women all worked on this puzzle over a couple of days while we sat around and talked.
We took a few trips to the little playground.
Landon loved the slide, but was TERRIFIED to be up there by himself.  The openness of it really scared him.
 Justin and Joshua
Grandpa brought a few butterfly nets and took the kids on lots of "snake hunts" and such.  Zach finally caught a butterfly the last day.

All the kids wanted a turn holding it, and we discovered that it was so easy to catch because it had a broken wing.

Tuesday afternoon it rained some, so most of us went to the movie theater nearby and saw "Brave."  We only spilled the popcorn once and Connor made it almost halfway through the movie before asking when we were going to be done...that's a record for him.

LeSueur Reunion - Birthday Celebrations

We drove to Pinetop, AZ on Monday afternoon for the LeSueur Family Reunion.  We stayed in two cabins that were right next to each other.  Our family shared with my brother Justin's family and my parents shared with Steven's family.  After arriving and getting settled Savannah got to help Grandma frost the two birthday cakes.  We celebrated the two July birthdays, Grandpa & Landon.

Landon is all boy these days...cars, balls, and trains keep him happy.
These 3 are always competing for someone's lap.
Grandma & Grandpa had a couple of presents for Landon to open.
But he had no interest in opening his gifts.  Dallin helped him start,
and Connor and Max opened the other gift for him.
He was so excited to get his new Chuggington book that plays music.  He carried it all around for weeks.
We had a little Family Home Evening with everyone all together.

 For treats we had cake!
(Landon still hated the fire and leaned as far from it as possible.  Connor blew out his candle for him.)
We had to relight Grandpa's candle so that Joshua could have a turn blowing it out.
 Thanks for the cake Grandma!
