My little buddy

Connor is my little buddy during the day now. But don't call him "little" or he'll get mad. He's a "big boy." We were pretty busy the first few weeks of school, but things are finally starting to slow down. And I have time to hang out with this cute boy during the day. We attempted story time again at the library. He was not too happy about it the first time we went, but today he really got into it. It helped that one of his friends just happened to be there at the same time. He's also had some fun play dates.

He loves to paint...
...and color. The weather if finally getting nice this week and he has spent hours in the backyard. Luckily the mud hole is all dried up.
We have been trying to go on lots of walks before it gets freezing cold in the mornings. This is our favorite trail. A few weeks ago we had major flooding in Round Rock near the creeks. It rained hard for 2 days straight. This trail was completely covered up to 10 feet above the ground. It just blows my mind because the creek is pretty far down below the trail and the area is really wide across, if you look at the last picture. When you click on this picture you can see some of the damage done. There were tress that were ripped out and everything is just a mess. Lots of shrubbery and stuff stuck all over the fences.
Connor is a little stick collector and loves showing each one to Landon.

2 Months Old

*14 lbs. 3 oz.
*24 1/2 inches long
*drinks 8oz. at each feeding now
*usually sleeps 8 hours at night
*wears 3-6 month clothes

I can't believe this little guy is 2 months old! Today at the doctor he was in the 94% for both weight and height. His head has only been around the 25%, which makes him seem even chunkier. He had to get 4 shots and he was MAD! He screamed for at least 5 minutes after. The last week or so he has usually slept for about 8 hours at night. I am a lucky girl.

School Lunch

Today Connor, Landon and I went to the school for lunch. Connor was so excited and insisted on bringing our lunchbox inside of his Buzz Lightyear backpack. He thought he was just another big boy going to school.First we sat with Savannah. None of the kids knew we were coming, so they loved the surprise. They were very excited to show off Landon to their friends. The cafeteria is so noisy that it was like white noise for Landon. He slept the entire time in my arms.
The kids' lunchtimes all overlap this year, which makes it nice for me. We sat with Savannah for 15 minutes and then moved to Zach's table when he arrived. 15 minutes later we moved to Jacob's table.
Connor was so distracted by everything going on around him that I could never get him to look at the camera. He can't wait to go back to "school lunch."

Chubsley

Landon's smiles are still only a few times a day, and hard to catch on camera. But they sure are cute. Even little half-smiles like this. I love his dimple!Double chin
Pot belly
We love our little Chubsley.

Firsts

We've had a lot of firsts the last couple of weeks...

Connor has had the house to himself for the first time ever. He hardly knows what to do when he plays for more than 10 minutes without someone bugging him. The peacefulness has been nice, I will admit.

Connor and I went grocery shopping at Walmart on Monday and it was the first time he's gotten to walk the entire time (and not be sitting in the cart). He was really good about staying by me. If I even started to walk away he would yell really loud "Wait, wait, wait!" He was carrying a bag of snacks to keep him from touching everything, but unfortunately they ran out just as we got to the produce section. I have learned my lesson and next time I will save the snacks for the produce. There were a few apples that did not survive his visit.

Zach went to the eye doctor for the first time yesterday. His glasses will be ready in the next week or two. Stay tuned for pictures.

Dallin got a new calling at church. Tomorrow will be his first Sunday serving as the Executive Secretary for our ward.

Today was our first visit to the park since spring! And Landon's first time at the park ever. It was so nice that we took a walk on our favorite trail, played at the park, and then walked back.Zach, who has a hard time seeing, can sense any movement from any little bug or insect on the trail. This teeny tiny frog jumped on the path in front of him.

End of August...

We had a successful first week of school! The kids all love their teachers and are making some new friends. We've been keeping busy here at home too. Thanks to all the friends who have helped with my kids over the past few weeks!!! Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks...

Landon loves to be held and the kids love to hold him. It's a good combination. When Grandpa was here the kids loved playing games with him on the computer.
Connor enjoyed having Grandma & Grandpa almost all to himself while the older kids were at school...
This was Savannah's favorite way to spend time with Grandpa...Landon got to have lots of time being held, fed, and changed by Grandma while I was busy getting things done.
Thanks for the visit Grandpa & Grandma! We miss you already!!!
This little guy just doesn't stop growing...
