Every year the boys' school has a Veteran's Day assembly. They invite any relatives of the students who are in the armed forces or veterans to come. They all sit up on the stage and then introduce themselves and tell how long they were or are in and what branch they served in. Then the kids sing some patriotic songs. But they separate the assemblies by K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th. So the little ones and I got to stay for 2 assemblies. Savannah & Connor actually did pretty good. We left Jacob's assembly for a few minutes to go read to Zach's class, and then came back for the end.
