Happy Birthday Connor!
Connor turned 4 yesterday. He started off early by opening a couple of presents before the older kids left for school. Zach had a present for Connor that he had gotten from his prize box at school. It was a plastic rattlesnake and candy. Connor was thrilled to get a "baby rattlesnake."

From the LeSueurs he got a couple more wooden snakes and his very first Webkinz. He has wanted to play on the Webkinz site on the computer, but the older kids wouldn't let him go into their accounts. Now he has his own! It is a husky dog that he named "Kujo."

Connor and his snake family (well, some of them...)

After the kids left for school he helped me make his birthday cake.

It's not really your typical 4-year-old birthday cake...but it's exactly what he wanted.

We went to the Valentine Storytime Party at the library. They sang Happy Birthday to Connor at the end and he also got a bag full of toys, treats, and valentines. He totally thought the party was for his birthday, and I didn't tell him otherwise.

In the afternoon my friend Erin came to bring him a gift. Connor LOVES Erin and always has since he was a little baby. She knows him well and brought him a red rubber snake and Toy Story "magic coloring."
After dinner (pizza) he opened the rest of his gifts. A blue rubber snake! I'm pretty sure we have a dozen snakes now.

This alphabet book has moving pictures that I knew Connor would love. Connor is starting to read now all on his own. He's about at the same level that Savannah was a few months ago when she started kindergarten.

Last up was a "big boy bike with training wheels!!!" (This was a hand-me-down from Erin's son Ethan, but luckily my kids could care less if things are brand new.) He was very excited, although still a little hesitant when riding it. When it warms up some we'll be able to practice outside.

When it came time for cake we had a little problem. Connor saw the lighter and freaked out. I think he associated it with the fireworks that Dallin did on the back porch for the 4th of July. The candles must have looked like fireworks or something because he would not go near it. I finally just let Jacob blow them out. He would not come near the cake until all of the candle were gone and out of sight.

Happy with Daddy and a candle-less cake.

We love you Connor!
